National Campaigns and Organizations
Working Towards Universal Health Care:

Community Catalyst is a national non-profit advocacy organization working to build the consumer and community leadership that is required to transform the American health system.  We believe that this transformation will happen when consumers are fully engaged and have an organized voice.

Families USA is a national nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. Working at the national, state, and community levels, we have earned a national reputation as an effective voice for health care consumers for 25 years.

HCAN is a national grassroots campaign of more  than 1,000 organizations in 46 states representing 30 million people dedicated  to winning quality, affordable health care we all can count on.

This grassroots organization brings together volunteers, activists, and interns to fight for single-payer healthcare. With chapters all over the nation, the group focuses on educating legislators and the public on single-payer systems, as well as advocating for health care legislation.

Trade union leaders and activists head this group, whice focuses on health care issues facing the working class. As more responsibility for health care costs fall on consumers, many workers struggle to afford comprehensive coverage. The group engages in grassroots activism, moving towards the goal of a nationalized single-payer system.

Physicians for a National Health Program is a group of doctors, medical students, and other health care practicioners focused on developing a national single-payer health care system. The advocacy group organizes meetings and conferences surrounding the issue, while also educating health care professionals on its merits. Research and activism regarding single-payer health care also take a forefront in the organization .

UHCAN’s mission is to help build, strengthen and connect organizations and coalitions in states and nationally that can effectively engage the public, policymakers and key constituencies to achieve affordable, quality health care for all.
